Any regular readers of our blog will know that we have been working with Brixham College and the RNLI to produce four videos that have been funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund.
We have been working hard over the last few months with students at the college helping them to understand the work that goes into a film and providing them with a rewarding experience of working with a professional production company. The students have embraced this project and have been doing a lot of research in order to portray in film, what they have learnt about the heritage of the Torbay Lifeboat Station and to ensure the videos are a huge success. The videos are currently in the post production stages.
As a team we have been totally blown away by the sheer dedication and commitment of all the volunteers at the station. The service that the RNLI gives to the community through volunteers is truly well admired. One of the videos will re tell the stories of some of the survivors and is inspirational.
The project will be completed and revealed to the crew members, friends, family and the community at the premiere event during the Torbay Lifeboat Week in July. We can’t wait to update you with our progress as we get closer to the event – watch this space.
