Pre-production, production or post-production – it’s been a busy few months for all of us here at Lenzflare, one of the most exciting projects we have been working on for the last few months is finally in its post-production stage – York St. John’s University PDR. Three days of shooting and some long hours in the edit suites; but we really can’t wait to discover the University’s reaction on completion of the project!
Allow me to backtrack slightly – here at Lenzflare, we truly pride ourselves in our work and relationships with Universities across the UK. We have also been as far-a-field as Aberdeen, Newcastle-upon-Tyne as well working locally with Staffordshire University. We have been helping them all shoot and edit video training materials to support their staff performance and development review also known as appraisals.
These videos are being used to increase engagement of staff in these schemes and widen access to the training materials through online delivery, via there websites.
Colin and I arrived in the picturesque city of York on a particularly wet and windy Tuesday evening, and despite the three 5am starts the following days looming over us, spirits were high and remained high throughout the week! All in all, we managed to capture a great amount of shots with some excellent people, some fantastic PDR acting – but most importantly, a great deal of smiles. The shoot was a big success; not a single dull moment as we were fortunate to interact with every aspect of the University – from lecturers, to security guards, even the gardeners – no single area of the University was left un-filmed!
What we really love the most though, is discovering the difference these videos have made to the Universities, and how we have helped them save time and money whilst also increasing engagement and widening access to their PDR scheme. We have been conscientious that the video style is in-line with their brand identity to get a consistent messages across. That’s precisely why our very own Matt Sefton has been working relentlessly to get the motion graphics perfect.
Watch this space for more news on future shoots, and of course, a video edit of the final project!
