Working with Lenzflare – The Production Process

The video production process involves going through many stages. At each stage you will be required to approve the work completed by Lenzflare. Below outlines the structure of a typical project.

1. Initial Meeting
We meet with you to listen to your ideas and objectives. We learn who you want to communicate to and what key messages you wish to deliver.

2. Project Brief & Estimate
Using information gathered at the initial meeting Lenzflare will produce a project brief that outlines the projects objectives, key content and project timeline. You will be provided with a detailed estimate for the completion of the project.

3. Service Agreement & Deposit
A service agreement is signed between you and Lenzflare. The agreement outlines the project's deliverables, delivery timeline and identifies individual responsibilities. You will also be issued an invoice for a deposit payment for the project.

4. Research
Lenzflare will undertake research about the projects content. Locations will be sourced and casting for any required talent will take place.

5. Scriptwriting
The script is written and forwarded to you for approval. Any amendments are made and a final version will be sent back to you for approval.

6. Shooting
The Lenzflare crew will capture the shots required to make the video. The shooting period can vary from 1 day to a few weeks depending on the scope and content of the video.

7. First Edit
You are provided with a first cut of the video to approve. The purpose of the first cut is to check you are happy with the main content and narrative structure.

8. Second Edit
The second edit of your video will include titles, graphics, music and any requested amendments from the first edit.

9. DVD Packaging Design
The packaging for the video will be sent to you for approval. Amendments to the artwork are made and sent back to you for final approval.

10. Final Edit - Colour Grading & Sound Mix
You will receive a completed version of the video to approve. The final edit will include colour grading of the footage and a full sound mix, these are both produced to broadcast standard.

11. Replication & Encoding
We send your video to be replicated and packaged. Your video is also encoded for you to integrate into your website and use on mobile technologies, such as mobile phones & iPods.

12. Product Delivery & Payment
The completed products will be delivered to you. You will also receive a master copy of the DVD that you can use to replicate more copies in the future if required.
